Delphinium
sp. from Yunnan, ARGS 0872. The
seeds of this doughty and floriferous plant came to us from the Alaska
Rock Garden Society's expedition to Yunnan province labelled Aconitum.
We still aren't sure which of the myriad Chinese Delphinium species
this is, but we love it. The stems and grey-green leaves are fuzzy. It
tolerates most soils in sun to part shade. It blooms in June-July and has
fibrous roots. Height about 50 cm (20"). Zone 6, perhaps
colder.
Blooming-size plant. In Canada C$8.00;
elsewhere US$7.25.
