Chrysosplenium Linnaeus sp.  Golden saxifrage. We love this little deciduous groundcover for its flat layers and the way it brightens shade, though it also does well in full sun. It comes from W China, but its identity is not certain. There are hundreds of Chrysosplenium taxa in the world and dozens in China, most of them quite similar. Our plant emerges in early spring and seeds around gently. Its acid yellow-green contrasts sharply with most other plants. Height under 2 cm (1"). Zone 5, perhaps colder.

Pot 6 cm / 2.5". $5.00
