Anemonopsis
macrophylla Siebold & Zucc. レンゲショウマ
Rengeshiyouma (Japanese, "Lotus flower"). This refined
woodlander with waxy, purple-hearted flowers nodding in a panicle of wiry,
arching stems blooms in late summer above leaves that resemble those of Actaea.
It is native to subalpine forests on Honshu, Japan's main island.
Height to 60 cm (24"). Zone 4.
