Anemonella is alive and well and living under Thalictrum,
an old name restored in the new Flora
of North America treatment. It is tempting for a non-botanist to
fantasize that this plant has been named by randomly recombining the words
Thalictrum and Anemone, for it has been called Anemone thalictroides,
Anemonella thalictroides, Syndesmon thalictroides, Thalictrum
anemonoides ~ and now it is Thalictrum
thalictroides.
