We offer many
British Columbia native plants to BC public
schools and BC non-profit conservation organizations at 20% off
our retail price.
The plants we discount are those we grow in some quantity. Usually they
are fairly common. Examples are Sambucus racemosa (Red elderberry),
Tsuga heterophylla (Western hemlock), Penstemon fruticosus
(Shrubby penstemon), Arctostaphylos uva-ursi (Kinnikinnick), Mahonia
aquifolium (Tall Oregon grape), Dodecatheon pulchellum (Shooting
stars), Camassia quamash (Common camas), Shepherdia canadensis (Soopolallie).
We do not discount plants that we grow only a few of, that are uncommon
or that take years to reach saleable size. Examples are Lilium
columbianum (Tiger lily), Fritillaria spp. (Chocolate and Black
lilies), Erythronium spp. (Fawn lilies), Trillium spp.
(Trilliums), Gentiana spp. (Gentians), Asarum spp.
(Gingers), most ferns.
Sorry, we don't have a fixed list of "discount" plants;
supplies change. But we will be glad to answer questions about discounts
on specific plants. Just email us.
