Romanzoffia tracyi Jepson. Mistmaidens. This dainty tuberous
perennial produces clusters of long-lasting, creamy flowers with a yellow
eye on short scapes above a mound of fleshy, scalloped leaves. It is adapted to
shady crevices misted by waterfalls and salt spray. Think of it as a wash-and-wear saxifrage. In our garden it weathers freezing rain in very sandy
soil.
Native from SW British Columbia to California. Our plants are from garden
seed. Height to 10 cm (4").
Zone 6. Tubers (Fall shipping only).
Not
available this season.
